Fox filling out
'Fringe'
Noble will be a lead in sci-fi drama
By Nellie Andreeva
Jan 24, 2008, ET
John Noble has been tapped as one of the
three leads in "Fringe," Fox's high-profile
sci-fi drama from J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman
and Roberto Orci.
"The Wire" co-star Lance Reddick also has
been cast in the project produced by Warner
Bros. TV and Abrams' Bad Robot.
The two-hour pilot, being directed by Alex
Graves, centers on a young female FBI agent
who is forced to confront the spread of
unexplained phenomena and work with Dr.
Walter Bishop (Noble), an institutionalized
scientist whose work might be at the center
of the coming storm.
Reddick will play Phillip Broyles, a special
agent for Homeland Security who heads the
special Fringe division, established to
investigate a series of terrorist/paranormal
events. (Tomas Arana had been erroneously
confirmed as cast in the role).
Australian-born Noble, who played Denethor
in "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the
King," is repped by Coast to Coast Talent
Group, Seven Summits Management and attorney
Dale de la Torre.
Reddick, who plays Lt. Cedric Daniels on
HBO's "The Wire," next will be seen in the
feature "Tennessee." He is repped by
Innovative Artists and manager Steven Adams. |
